Dr. Victor Ortiz

Dr. Victor Ortiz is a fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in adult and pediatric sports medicine. His main interest lies in the innovative field of arthroscopic hip preservation surgery where he delivers advanced treatment options for patients suffering from femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) and labral tears. He has also mastered the diagnosis and treatment of complex shoulder and knee injuries. Dr. Ortiz is actively involved in orthopedic research, particularly in the rapidly growing fields of hip preservation surgery and minimally invasive total hip arthroplasty.

Upon completion of his orthopedic surgery residency, Dr. Ortiz pursued a sports medicine fellowship at the University of Illinois in Chicago. Subsequently, Dr. Ortiz completed a second fellowship in hip preservation surgery at American Hip Institute Research Foundation where he gained extensive training in hip arthroscopy and robotic-assisted total hip replacement. He has treated numerous athletes including players of the WNBA Chicago Sky. Dr. Ortiz is driven to provide high-quality, progressive, and personalized care to every single one of his patients.
